Available Now: À la Kalamata featuring Chef Eric Ripert

Driftwood Oven

Restaurant

The smell of baking sourdough crust drifting from Driftwood Oven makes Kalamata’s mouth water every time she’s near it, and Chef Neil’s amazing slices are some of Kalamata’s favorite in the city. Sometimes she likes to pick out her own toppings, but sometimes she likes to leave it to Neil when he has fun creations like the Pizzska, with all the ingredients for a delicious pierogi on top of the pie. The pizzas are definitely the draw here, but it’s hard to turn down the Cannellini Bean Hummus, Pepperoni Pocket, or Roasted Shittake Mushroom soup, especially on a chilly day.

Kalamata SAYS

"We like to come early because the pies are so good that sometimes they run out of dough! While we’re waiting for our food, I like to see who at the table can say 'Pittsburgh Pepperoni Pocket' five times fast."
