The Wandering Goose
The vintage style wooden chairs and booths, drawings on the wall, and shelves holding interesting treasures makes Kalamata feel like she’s been transported to town far smaller than metro Seattle. The menu featuring grits & grillades, po’ boys, and Benton’s bacon clearly indicates that this small town would be in the south and Kalamata is probably going to leave with a full tummy. When Al Dente heard they get their honey from beehives on the roof, he convinced Kalamata to toss him up there to inspect! That idea ended with Al swimming in a puddle.

"They are open for breakfast and lunch every day, but on Fridays they stay open for dinner because that’s Fried Chicken Friday. The dinner is a southern-style feast with three pieces of buttermilk fried chicken, 3 sides you choose yourself, and a biscuit. It’s definitely enough for me to share with Mama, but I always negotiate my own biscuit."
